Rutherford is a bustling community with a population of approximately 18,000 residents, Rutherford is located just eight miles west of New York City, and centrally located to many major roadways, transporation systems. The borough offers excellent schools, dining and shopping options and recreational activities year-round.

Its location on the NJ Transit Bergen Line allows short commute times to New York City and beyond.
Rutherford boasts a strong school public system. Students in grades one through five attend Lincoln, Sylvan or Washington Schools; students in grades one through eight attend either Pierrepont or Union Schools; and high school students attend Rutherford High School. The Rutherford school district has traditionally been recognized as a leader in academic excellence. Felician College also occupies a 10-acre campus site within the borough of Rutherford.
